THIS COLLECTION HAS SOLD OUT.

Thank you for your interest in “Rhododendron.” Growing up in Wilmington, NC, Home to the Azalea Festival, the majesty of the Azaleas blooming has always signaled a final farewell to winter and a captivating debut to the the spring and summer seasons. The Azaleas typically unveil their beauty in a passionate display that lasts but three enchanting weeks before they retreat into the quietude of their foliage to sleep until next year. Their beauty is sublime and ephemeral and is perhaps what makes them such a wonder to witness.

In this artwork I chose to personify the plant as a female in (3) stages of life to coincide with (3) weeks of blooms. It is left to the viewer/collector to ponder whether it represents (3) generations of a family or an individual in (3) different stages of life. In either interpretation the work seeks to make us contemplate the fleeting nature of both time and beauty.

I invite you to collect this work in a large 20x30 in. (50.8 x 76.2 cm) print format and have chosen Fujifilm Crystal Archive as a high quality archival print medium.

Each order will have a unique bumblebee carefully placed somewhere throughout the image rendering each print a unique one-of-a- kind artwork.

Each print will be signed by me and include the release date hidden within the flowers.
