Somewhere along the journey of being human things got serious. Bills, responsibilities, jobs, society, whatever it was, something crept in and absconded with the wonder I once felt as a kid. I’m not sure if it happened all at once or over time but somewhere along the line I realized I had forgotten how to how to play, how to imagine and entertain nonsense, and how to enjoy the simple wonder and miracle of being alive in a world that hardly makes sense anyways. Becoming a dad and spending time with my kid has been a wake up call to my inner child who lost his way. SillyHead is an exploration, a rebellion, and a celebration of the return to the child that is in all of us. Inspired by the time I spend with my daughter, these pieces are a reminder to slow down, be weird, and to stay curious about the world and the simple pleasures. While I dedicate its creation to her, its message is a gift, an invitation, and a call to the silly little person inside us all.
